GRP Finishers & Laminators – Marine

Job Description

Contract in Plymouth, Devon – £23.15 per hour – Outside IR35 

Experienced GRP Finishers and Laminators immediately required for a contract based in Plymouth (multiple sites across the city). Previous experience in marine/luxury yacht sector is preferred, but other sectors like automotive of interest too.

Key Responsibilities:

Repairing and finishing all product lines.
Finishing gel coat by hand using a variety of tools including wet/dry paper, finishing compounds, orbital sanders, polisher, DA sander, long boards and blocks.
Removing imperfections.
Able to apply split mould, two tone and tracking gel coat.
Basic mould repairs using repair filler.
Competent to work with in a team without guidance.

Laminators – experience in wet lay up and/or infusion required

The details:

Contract rate – £23.15 per hour

Start dates available – 9th October/ 16th October / 23rd October / 30th October.

Contract duration – minimum term 3 months, likely to extend into 2024.
