BFG, the global leader and pioneer in composite design, engineering, and manufacturing, is pleased to announce that Peter Walker, Director of Architecture and Infrastructure, will be a featured speaker at this year’s Advanced Engineering show taking place on the 1st and 2nd November 2023.
Peter will be participating in the Construction session, which will take place on the Advanced Materials and Technology stage from 12:00 PM to 12:20 PM on November 1st.
Peter, an engineer and thought leader in the architecture and infrastructure sector, will be representing BFG International at Advanced Engineering 2023. With years of experience and expertise, Peter will present “Composites in construction- next generation, engineered solutions for architects,” where he will highlight how recent advances in materials engineering are perfectly synchronized with architectural trends in complex forms and modern methods of construction. Composite materials provide strong, durable, and sustainable design solutions for architects and designers seeking to work beyond the constraints of 2-dimensional materials. Perfectly suited to offsite manufacture, Peter will explain how glass and carbon fiber reinforced polymers along with advanced Ultra High-Performance Concrete are increasingly used in addressing complex design, structural and engineering challenges.

In his talk, Peter will consider two case studies outlining how cutting-edge materials have been custom engineered to provide unique architectural solutions.
Advanced Engineering is the UK’s largest annual gathering of engineering and manufacturing professionals and provides the perfect platform to source new suppliers, network, build connections and learn about the latest industry developments all in one place.
